Small Changes

Hi, all!

Happy Thursday! How are you all doing today? I'm doing wonderful and feeling amazing! It's an absolutely beautiful day here. The sun is shining with a slight breeze and right around 80. How is the weather by all of you?

This morning I had coffee with my best friend and then we went down to our church to help set up for her sister's wedding. The wedding is tomorrow, so there is a lot to get done. Helping to set up the church gave me a great workout, I helped move tables and helped to tape off where the tables need to be put after the ceremony. I'm glad to be home though and resting a bit because my back and feet are hurting a bit. This is exactly why I could never have an extremely physical job and I am thankful for those people who do work like this every day.

Yesterday I had a good day and I decided to make it my rest day, however, I did dance around to some music while I was preparing dinner. I'm proud of something I did yesterday though because usually I wouldn't have done it. My mom brought home some Junior Mints because a student gave them to her and she doesn't like them, so she gave them to me. After I got home from having tea with a few friends, I was going to have my evening snack and grabbed the box of them. That snack was going to be over 500 calories, with very little nutritional value. So instead, I had the one serving of Junior Mints that I had already eaten, plus three pieces of string cheese and it was only 400 calories, with a lot more nutritional value. I also threw the other two serving of Junior Mints into the garbage so I wasn't tempted to eat them later. I'm proud of myself because before I would have eaten those three servings without even thinking about it, plus I'd probably eat something else as well. It's small changes like this that make me the happiest. :)
