Happy Mother's Day and Weigh-In (Day 598)

Hi all!

Happy Sunday and Happy Mother's Day to all the mother's out there! How are you all doing today? It's a beautiful day here... a bit chilly though. Nevertheless, it is a wonderful day. Today I get to celebrate my wonderful mother, Sherry! Along with my SIL, my grandmother's, aunts, a few of my cousins, and my wonderful friends who are mothers. What could be better?

This picture is from a few days after my youngest nieces were born, so about 2.5 years ago, but my mom doesn't have her picture taken often. As crazy as she drives me sometimes, she is still an amazing woman who has helped shape me into the person I am today. My mother is so strong, she went through a divorce with a young child and then was a single parent while in college and working full-time. No matter what, she is always there, making sure our family is healthy and happy.

Today was weigh-in day and I was really looking forward to it. Although I was not able to exercise a lot this week, I was right on key with my nutrition. So without further ado, here are my numbers for this week.

Starting Weight: 315
Last Weigh-In: 273.2
Current Weight: 270.4
Total Lost: 44.6

That's right folks... I lost 2.8 pounds this week! Eek! I am down 44.6 pounds, that is only 5.4 pounds away from my next goal. Honestly, I still cannot believe that I weigh 270 pounds right now. Some of you may be thinking some crazy things right now but when you look where I have come from, you will understand. I am different than many of you, my starting weight was a lot higher and my goal weight is a lot higher. My lowest adult weight is 250 pounds, which was my goal weight for the end of the year, and at this moment I am only 20 pounds away from it! This is a very emotional thing for me and I can't wait to see how emotional I will get once I reach 249 pounds. But every weigh-in where I lose weight is my lowest weight since my best friend's death. I cannot even begin to describe how it makes me feel to weigh what I do. Someday, I will be at a healthy weight and I have no idea what that will feel like because I've always been overweight, for as long as I can remember. But I look forward to it and I cannot wait to be an "after".

Wow, okay... things just got a little emotional right there. Oh well... sometimes we need some good emotion.  But it is time for me to go and write my final paper for this week and get started on next week's homework before celebrating Mother's day tonight, with my family. Cannot wait! I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday and Mother's day! So until next time!
