Year 1 Day 153 (Day 518)

Hi all!

How is everyone doing today? It's already Thursday, which means the weekend is almost here! Today I'm linking up with Lex and Katie for Non-Scale Victories Thursday! :) Last week I missed out because I was still having my little pity party and didn't really have any thing to share. But this week is very different, and I'm excited to link-up again.

1. Nutrition
My nutrition is officially back on track and I've been at my calorie goal all week.

2. Positivity
I'm back to my happy and positive ways after a few weeks of my pity party.

3. Schoolwork
My class has officially started and it is helping me stay busier. It is helping me to get back into my groove, so to speak. I'm back to writing papers and discussion postings, so it's wonderful. Writing is one of my true passions and usually helps me stay busy.

4. Emotional eating
Yesterday I was having a time where I was very emotional and I didn't try to eat my problems away! This was a huge accomplishment for me because I always turn to food. I did eat something, but it was because my blood sugar was low. (I even chose something healthier to eat :) )

All in all, it's been a pretty successful week. I've gone through a whole week of physical therapy and my back is hurting more right now but we're taking steps in the right direction with this (hopefully). I'm hating the fact that I can't exercise but I'm still staying on track with my nutrition, so I'm hoping for some positive feedback on the scale in a few days. But even if I don't have a positive result, it's okay because the scale doesn't control me. :)

Yesterday I was good conversations with two of my friends that I met in Iowa. I miss both of those ladies so much, and it was a lot of fun reminiscing about my time there. My mom has asked me a few times if I regret leaving Ashford and it's a definite no. I don't regret it, God had a purpose for me being there for a semester but it just wasn't for me. And I met a few amazing people, who I miss so much, but I know that we'll see each other again some day. I'm the type of person who does not regret anything, good or bad. Each thing that I've gone through has made me the person that I am today, and as much as parts of my life have been tough, they've been worth it. Here's an example, my best friend's death. Believe me, it sucked, it still does. I miss her more each day and I wouldn't wish the pain that I felt/still feel on my worst enemy, but her death did make me stronger and I realized how much I can handle without breaking.

Time to go get some reading done for school and get a head start on my discussion and paper for next week. So until next time.

  1. Great NSV this week! I'm glad you are doing good this week. Have a great day!

  2. It sounds like you're having a good week! I'm a lot like you...routines help me stay on track :)
