Recommitment

So today I made a realization, in just 4 short months (as of tomorrow) I will be a year into my weight loss journey. I can't believe that it's already been 8 months and I have come a long way from where I was, but at the same time I'm disappointed. Disappointed in myself, because I have only lost 20 lbs. Don't get me wrong, that's a decent amount of weight to lose but I could have lost a ton more. At this pace, it'll take me 5years and 4 months to lose the rest of the weight (give or take). That is way longer than I want this to take, by that time I want to be maintaining and living a healthy lifestyle.

That brings me to today, I am going to regroup and recommit myself to living a healthy lifestyle. Beginning today these are things that I am going to do:
1) Track every food and drink that goes into my mouth
2) Make healthier and more nutritious food choices
3) Drink at least 100 FL OZ of water
4) Do cardio exercises for at least 30 minutes 5-6 times a week
5) Strength train at least 3 days a week
6) Blog at least 4 days a week
7) Become more active on the weight loss sites I'm on (SparkPeople and MyFitnessPal)
8) Take measurement at the beginning of every month to show my progress
9) Take an updated weight loss picture every month to show my progress

I move in 13 weeks, and my goal is to lose at least 13 lbs. That's 1 lb a week, I know that I can do this if I really try. Now I would really love to lose 20-30 lbs by then, which I can do because that would mean that I'm losing between 1.5 and 2.3 lbs per week which is possible.

My ultimate goal is to reach my goal weight by my next graduation which will be in 2014 or 2015. That gives me 2-3 years to reach my goal, and I'll need to lose between 45 and 65 lbs per year. I can and will do this!

This picture was taken 8 days ago, it shows a little of my progress so far. I'll take a new picture soon and update my measurements.

Here's to an amazing adventure! Until next time

    1. Thanks! I know that it's a good starting loss, but it's just when you have 155lbs to lose total it's a little disappointing. I'm trying to stay positive though. I'm just going to step my game and see what I can accomplish. And thank you about my picture! :)
