Year 1 Day 143 (Day 508)

Hi all! Sorry that I didn't post yesterday but I wasn't feeling the best. Honestly, yesterday was just a bad day all together until the very end of it. Let me explain. I woke up at my normal time and was still feeling pretty bad so I took some pain medication and went and laid down some more. The day was pretty boring but then at dinner time my nieces and nephew came over and that's when things started getting worse. I felt horrible because I wasn't allowed to pick them up. Plus it really hurts when my hip is compressed, so it's incredibly hard to sit up. Then when I was laying in bed, trying to go to sleep, I was feeling so emotional. It's been really tough not being able to talk to Abid very much or see him, so I just burst into tears. And I was asking God why He's making me go through this and that I couldn't take it anymore. But then I realized how selfish I was being, there are so many people couples who are forced to be apart for a reason or another and they can make it through. So Abid and I can get through this as well. I fell asleep but then almost 2 hours later it was 11:50 and I got a call from Abid. it was exactly what I needed. We were able to talk for almost 10 minutes, which is the longest we've ever talked on the phone. But the positive out of all of this is that I've realized that I can eat less and I am fine. It's just that I need to gain the willpower to say no to food when I'm really not hungry.

Last night Abid called me and told me that I should be getting my package from him and this morning I received it. And I come to find out that it's for Valentine's Day,  Abid is such a sweetheart. :) He sent me some beautiful gold jewelry, a card, and some chocolate. Yellow gold isn't really my color but I still love them. It is more traditional jewelry that a woman would wear there, so I love it. :) (Don't mind the horrible quality of the pictures) I'm not really a big bracelet person, but the ring will definitely be part of my every day jewelry routine. It's been a long time since I received something for Valentine's Day and this time it's even better because I love the person who sent it to me. :)

Yesterday I had my weekly weigh-in, and amazingly enough I maintained. I have been doing horribly with my food choices lately, up until Saturday. On Saturday I was lucky if I ate 1400 calories (because of all of the medication I was on) and then Sunday I was probably right around my calorie goal. I'm not allowed to exercise right now but I am going to focus on my nutrition a lot more. After seeing how I look in my bridesmaid dress (before alterations), don't get me wrong, I don't look bad, but I could look a lot better. So when I am able to work out again, I am going to focus on legs and shoulders/arms. I've got a little less than 8 months and my goal is to look the best that I can by the wedding. Strength training is a must and I need to up my cardio levels. I'm really hoping to lose quite a bit of fat and inches by the wedding, along with gaining some lean muscle.

Even though my class doesn't officially start until next week, I have access to my class starting today. So of course I will be starting it today. :) One thing that I love about these classes is that we can work ahead, so I have a feeling that I'll have this 10 week class done a lot faster than 10 weeks. I'm going to try and pace myself, since I can't start another class until this one is completed. Typically I'll probably take 2 classes every 5 weeks, so I'll be able to stay busier.

But I suppose, I want to go get a head start on my class. So until next time.
