Year 1 Day 135 (Day 500)

Hi all! It's already the start of a new week, can you believe it? The weeks seem to go by too quickly to me sometimes. I feel like I'm getting sick, again. :( I'm coughing more, have a bunch of sinus pressure, and chest congestion. Eh... Why is it that I just get over being sick and then it feels like I'm sick again with pretty much the same thing. But since it's the beginning of the week, it's time for me to come up with my weekly goals. My goals are the same as last week except for one.

Recap of Last Weeks Goals
I was right on key besides Friday, nutritionally.
I did the 30DS 4 days last week.
I stayed positive every day besides Friday.
I did amazingly with water, I exceeded my goal for the week by 55 oz.
I accomplished my school goal, all of my paperwork was turned in and I've been officially accepted! :)
I did okay emotionally, it's been a tough week.
I have blogged every day this week. :)

This Weeks Goals

1. Nutrition
Stay within my calorie/carb/fat/protein goals for the week
2. Fitness
Complete the 30DS at least 4 days this week, which will put me at level 2, day 9
3. Motivation
Stay positive and control food cravings
4. Water
Drink at least 128 oz of water every day
5. Emotionally
Don't allow emotions to control eating habits
6. Blogging
Continue to blog at least 5 days per week

Yesterday I got some exercise in after I posted my blog, I got in 2 sessions of it actually. My first workout, I did some Zumba on my Wii. I may have only done 14 minutes of it, but it was pretty intense! And my second workout was my February challenge and 28 minutes of walking. :) I would have walked for longer, but I had a bad headache and all the walking was starting to make me dizzy. Nevertheless, it was great to get in some exercise on a day that I typically don't get any.

I did so much better nutritionally yesterday than I did the day before. On Friday I was just so emotional and just wanted to eat anything and everything I could get my hands on. I ate breakfast and lunch plus my leftovers from lunch (1680 calories), a bowl of chips and cheese in the afternoon, dinner (850-900ish calories), and a big bowl of ice cream at night. Honestly, I didn't keep track of the calories but in my calculations I put it at 4000 calories because I know that it wasn't more than that. I'm ashamed that I let my emotions get to me like that, I need to learn better control in emotional situations. But like I said, today was so much better, I ate about 2350 calories all day. (That's just a few over my goal but still under my added exercise calories) So I am proud of myself that I was able to have a good day nutritionally after the day before.

I've realized something today though, I'm really more worried about reaching a weekly calorie total instead of just worrying about a daily goal. A few weeks ago I calculated how many calories it would take per week to maintain my weight (20,384) and my goal is to lose 1 lb every week. So my weekly calorie goal is at about 17000-17500, depending on how many calories I burn from exercising. And that leaves me with 2430-2500 every day to eat, so I shouldn't get hungry with that many calories.

This morning I decided that Sunday will be my February weigh-in day. In the past I would weigh-in at the beginning of the week and it worked out so much better for me. Not to mention that it's nice to get the weigh-in done at the beginning of the new week. So today I stepped on the scale and I've lost .8 lbs since Thursday. This is crazy encouraging, especially after how I ate on Friday. That brings my total to 29.6 lbs lost, I'm so close to that 30 lb mark, I can taste it. Next week I should achieve that milestone and hopefully my next mini goal of 31.5 lbs but I may be a little over zealous for that goal. I'd have to lose almost 2 lbs next week to achieve that. I'll take reaching that 30 lb mark instead. :)

Well it's time to go get some coffee and then off to church. Have a good day all! Until next time.

  2. Hi Sara, I love your goals. I love your honestly. You can and will lose your weight. You are so much more aware of your problem areas, (emotional eating, etc) than most people are. Great goals. Walk as much as you can. Take stairs where you can. And have a bowl in your fridge or on the table with ready to eat fruits and veggies. If it's ready it's easy to grab it, but I find if I have to go get it, get it ready, cut it up or whatever, its easier to grab something I really shouldn't have. I have some really good weight watcher and weight watching recipes in my food reviews. You can check those out. I am doing all weight watchers food reviews this week in my recipes up for review. Check them out.. I have made the veggie lasagna before. I don't like eggplant but this is really good. Thanks for linking up again this week. Again good luck! You are doing great!
